Human Performance Fundamentals

Almost every organization will admit that their most important resource is their people. Yet most organizations have little or no expertise in understanding the role of people in success and failure. How do we create the conditions so that we get the best out of our people? This workshop will provide attendees with an in-depth overview of the key tenets of Human and Organizational Performance (HOP), as well as introducing attendees to the basics of industrial and social psychology. Attendees will review the factors that influence what we call “human error” and the factors that influence variability in human performance. Methods for learning from and supporting people in the completion of work will be discussed so that attendees can begin to create resilient performance in their organizations.
